Future Goals

  • Champion local businesses by connecting invested owners with resources that support their retention and growth. By creating thoughtful programming, Johnstown can encourage even more visionaries to set up business in town.

  • In order to make meaningful changes that truly improve the lives of those who call Johnstown home, critical conversations need to take place. This means having more in-person community engagement to share feedback and ideas. Less facebook, more face time.

  • It’s important to protect all Johnstown’s children, especially those at-risk. I intend to work with community leaders to identify solutions for youth that are experiencing homelessness and other unsafe situations. Creating a safe place and course-correction program will improve our families and neighborhoods.

  • Prioritize online streaming and televising of all City Council meetings to further increase transparency and increase community trust.

  • Without a current animal control contract, we must find resources available for municipal governments to create a citywide animal welfare system for Johnstown. Even though the Humane Society of Cambria County is a good partner and do so much, they need additional partners to handle this vital responsibility.

  • In preparation for increased rainfall and intense weather, it is top priority to establish a stormwater authority to seek grant funding and collaboration with other municipalities to address our already flood-prone region.

  • Native Johnstowners know how beautiful our city is… and it must be shared! Attracting more visitors, residents and local businesses means a healthy and vibrant future. Forging creative attractions and meaningful destinations is a way to keep connections while building new ones.
